I love it when the food stylist brings her collection of cutleryporn with her on set. It was a wonderful day of shooting for Philips today.
Lately I've been incredibly inspired by the bestseller book 'Making Ideas Happen' by Scott Belsky. He's the man behind portfolio service Behance and 99U; Behance's think tank and annual conference devoted to execution in the creative world.
I think everybody in the creative industry could benefit from reading this book that is like a Swiss Army knife for idea's. For me is was very refreshing to be shown the action method, a way how to store and prioritize my idea's in order to focus on the things that matter to me the most, a technique that I have now incorporated in my day to day workflow. And then there's the 'done wall', how to avoid security work, capitalising on feedback, circle of peers, etc, etc...
Did you read this book? What was your best lesson learned? I'd love to hear about it.
